Founded in 1922 by the grandfather of the present owner, Åmells is the leading specialist fine art dealer in Scandinavia, with galleries in both Stockholm and London. Both carry a large stock of important Old Masters, as well as paintings and sculptures by the most renowned 19th and 20th century Scandinavian artists, such as Anders Zorn, Carl Larsson, Carl Milles, Vilhelm Hammershoi, Peder Severin Kröyer, Edvard Munch, Frits Thaulow, Helene Schjerfbeck and Albert Edelfeldt.
